About Us
Martinsburg Mat Club is dedicated to teaching the sport of Wrestling to any youth ages 4 through 14 regardless of experience. Even some high school wrestlers join us during their off season to gain additional experience and attend off season tournaments. Although physical conditioning is part of any sport, our emphasis is on teaching and skill development. With a staff of highly experienced coaches, our wrestlers display the highest degree of sportsmanship and even have some fun.
Martinsburg Mat Club meets at Martinsburg High School every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 until 8:30. We are a member of the Mason Dixon Youth Wrestling league and compete weekly throughout the league season.
As a registered USA Wrestling team, we continue to practice and compete year round at tournaments all over.
During our first year MMC had several wrestlers place first through third at the Mason Dixon Championship. We have brought trophies home from many district, regional and national level tournaments.
We are proud to be sending wrestlers to the USA National Freestyle Championships in Fargo North Dakota for two consecutive years.
